Adella Teresa Eckman went home to be with her Savior on Feb. 9, 2016. She was born on Sept. 11, 1960 in Akron, Ohio to her parents Raymond and Paula Schmitt.
She will be greatly missed by her loved ones and friends. Adella touched many lives with her sweet smile, infectious laugh, and love of the Lord. As a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Smithville, she enjoyed serving and encouraging others and took advantage of every opportunity to share her faith with everyone she met. She truly treasured her husband and poured herself into raising and supporting her children.
She is survived by her mother Paula Scianna-Schmitt, beloved husband and best friend for 35 years, Terry, children Isaac Eckman (April), Joel Eckman (Kaitlin Shrout), and Hannah Eckman, siblings Rose A. Webb, Angela D. Klinger, Raymond C. Schmitt, Jr. (Karen), Paula A. Schmitt (Kraig), and Mary Jo Nelisse (Mark), as well as many nieces and nephews.
Adella is preceded in death by her father Raymond.
The family will greatly miss Adella, but we rejoice that she is now in Heaven with her Savior. Romans 8:38-39: For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
