WOOSTER “ Alberta F. Jones, 92 of Wooster passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Heather Knoll Nursing Home in Tallmadge.
She was born April 14, 1924 in Shreve, the daughter of Fred Wilaby and Edith Elizabeth Kregor Foltz.   She married Donald Richard Jones on August 16, 1956.   He preceded her in death on April 7, 2016.
She was a homemaker and had previously worked for Sears.   Alberta was an artist who had, over the years, submitted her paintings and won awards at various Ohio county fairs and art shows.
Her compassion, kindness, sense of humor and the way her smile lit up a room will be missed.
She is survived by a daughter, Carol (Joe) Chenevey of Wooster; grandchildren, Courtney Chenevey, Benjamin Chenevey and Andrew Chenevey and great grandchildren Riley Parsons and James Cole Chenevey.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded by her parents, sons, Donald Earl Jones and Eric Long, a half-sister, Elizabeth Childers and a brother Walter Foltz.
There will be no calling hours and private family services will be held.
