SMITHVILLE – Barbara L. Miller, 83, of Smithville passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Hospice of Medina Co. Inpatient Care Center.
Barbara was born April 7, 1931 in Millersburg Ohio to the late Andrew and Katie Styer. She graduated from Berlin High School and married Robert C. Miller in 1951. She was a full-time homemaker, prior to working in the food service program at the Wayne County Career Center, retiring with 20 years of service.
Barb enjoyed her flower garden, her card ministry to shut-ins, traveling with her husband and good friends, and spending time with her family, friends and neighbors. For many years, she volunteered for Meals on Wheels and People to People Ministries. She was a member of St. Paul ™s Lutheran Church in Smithville.
She is survived by her husband, daughters Phoebe (John) Larson of Rockford IL, daughter Leah Karagiannides of Brunswick OH, grandchildren Samuel and Lincoln Shisler and Maria Karagiannides, brother and sister-in-law Tom and Ester Miller of Orlando, FL, as well as two of three siblings.
Funeral service will be at 3 pm on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at St Paul Lutheran Church, 777 S. Summit Rd., Smithville with Pastor Kristy Buyok officiating.    Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the funeral.   Burial will be in the Smithville Cemetery.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
