ORRVILLE “ Betty L. Cessna, 86, of Orrville passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 5, 2015, at West View Healthy Living surrounded by her family.
Betty was born April 11, 1928 in Wooster, the daughter of Ralph and Eva Sell Stout.   She attended Wooster High School and was a graduate of the College of Wooster with a degree in music.
She was a devoted music teacher, having taught piano for 62 years to thousands of young people.   One of the most important things to her was the mentoring of her students as they developed in their musical lives.   Betty had been a member of the Triway Capers and the Red Stocking Revue for many years, volunteered for numerous organizations and performed with bands and as a solo pianist.
Surviving are her children, Joel Cessna of Wooster and Jolene Beckham of Ashville, North Carolina and her siblings Duane Stout of Marion and Carol Brubaker of Ft. Meyers, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Noel.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel at West View Healthy Living with Pastor Kirk Fairhurst officiating.   Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.   There will be no calling hours.
