VENICE, FLORIDA “ Betty Lou Franklin, 76 of Venice, Florida passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015 in Baird, Texas.
She was born April 23, 1939 in Smithville, West Virginia the daughter of Chester R. Longfellow and Evelyn Knight.   She married Michael Franklin on April 14, 1990.   He survives.
She was a 1957 graduate of Waynedale High School and had worked at Wooster Products and as a secretary at Wooster High School and Boys Village and had worked at Ned Adams as a car saleswoman.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.   Betty enjoyed hosting and attending yard sales, liked antiques and enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with her nieces and nephews and loved children.   She absolutely loved Wooster, Ohio.
In addition to her husband, Michael, she is survived by a sister, Sharon L. (Edward L.) Swartz of Wooster; nieces and nephews Mark E. Swartz of Wooster, Scott E. (Huisuk) Swartz of Akron, Amy L. (John) Pisani of Wooster and Beth (Mike) Jewell of Wooster; great nieces and nephews, Mia L. Swartz, Katie L. Swartz, Nathan E. Pisani, Isabelle L. Pisana, Emily V. Jewell, Tyler M. Jewell and Samuel M. Jewell.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, David Wayne DiScipio in 1990.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 6-8:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster with the Rev. Augustine Lee officiating.   Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
