WOOSTER “ Charles E. Chuck Snoddy, 83, of Wooster passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born June 14, 1934 in Wooster, the son of Glenn and Miriam Runkle Snoddy.   He married Janet Willard on October 25, 1958.   She survives.
As a young man Charles worked for Retzler Hardware in Wooster, then spent 5 years at B & F Transfer.   Charles then worked for Timken Steel in Wooster for 30 years before retiring in 1995.
Charles and Janet are longtime devoted members of Trinity United Church of Christ.   Charles enjoyed life to the fullest, with a fun loving personality and sense of humor that will sincerely be missed by all.   Among his interests, he especially cherished spending time with his grandchildren and working on his always beautiful home landscape.   Charles treasured time with his family, and especially enjoyed taking vacations and visiting his brother in Portland, Oregon.
Charles served in the US Army from 1955-1957 and was stationed in Alaska for the majority of his service.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Cheryl (Todd) Anderson of Dublin, Susan (Ralph) Wagenhofer of Dublin and Terry (Maria) Snoddy of Wooster; grandchildren Taylor Anderson, Nathan Graham and fiancé Shelby Sigillo, Nick (Carrie) Graham, Ben and Lexi Snoddy; great-grandchildren, Locklynn and Maverick Graham and his siblings, Carol (Bob) Denning, Bonnie Miller, Larry (Shirley) Snoddy, Gary (Paula) Snoddy, a sister-in-law, Nina Miller and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, brothers-in-law, Doyle Willard, Dana Phillips, Dick Galehouse and Hank Miller and a sister-in-law Mary Alice Willard..
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Sunday, August 13, 2017 from 2-4:00 p.m.
Services will be held on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity United Church of Christ, 150 E. North St., Wooster with the Rev. Dr. Kevan Franklin officiating.   Private family burial will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity United Church of Christ.
