WOOSTER “ Charlotte Landis, 98, of Wooster passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.
She was born June 9, 1918 in Chester Twp., Ohio, the daughter of Samuel and Delpha Funk Martin.   She married Waldo F. Landis on August 24, 1941.   He preceded her in death on August 11, 1999.
She had worked along with her husband on their dairy farm and was a homemaker.   She was a long time member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and currently a member of the Smithville Brethren Church.
Charlotte was a member of the New Pittsburg Lutheran Missionary Society, the Segar Club, Chester Twp. Grange, the New Pittsburg Fire Dept. Auxiliary and the New Pittsburg Sportsman Club.
She is survived by her children, Virgil (Elizabeth) Landis of Newark, Rachel (Gerald) Krabill of Smithville, Rebecca (Sherman) Jefferies of Uniontown and David (Rev. Gayle) Landis of Plano, Texas,
Grandchildren, Andrea Hedges, Donna Masters, Jennifer Winter, Jill Ackerman, Michael, Mark and Ryan Simmons, Nicholas Landis, Rev. Zachary Landis and Megan Smith; Step-granddaughter, Sabrina Jefferies; great-grandchildren, Tanner and Austin Masters, Jacob and Daniel Ackerman, Calvin and Isabel Winter, Taylor, Benjamin and Zachary Simmons; step-great-grandchildren, Julie and Josi Knapp.
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the 12:00 Noon memorial service on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the Smithville Brethren Church, 193 E. Main St., Smithville with the Rev. David Creekmore and Rev. Dr. Gayle Landis officiating.   Private family burial will be held.
