SHREVE – Dean Ralph SPRANKLE, 52, of Shreve, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Akron City Hospital.
He was born August 8, 1963 in New Orleans, LA, son of James Phillip and Maxine Kay Winebrenner Sprankle.
He drove for the Amish for many years. He was a member of the American Legion, Eagles, Moose Lodge and enjoyed collecting things. He had a big heart and was always willing to help others.
Dean proudly served his country with the U.S. Army from 1981 – 1984.
He will be sadly missed by  his wife, Kelly Marie Brooks-Sprankle, step-children, Tiarra and Brandon Brooks,  a sister, Vicki Fischer of Prosperity, SC and a brother Jimmy Lee Sprankle of Cleveland, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends and his mother-in-law, Sherry Brooks.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Sunday, July 3, 2016 from 5-7:00 p.m.
Graveside services will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Seville on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 9:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Way, Memphis, TN 38105.
