WOOSTER “ Earl Allen Wharton, 74, of Wooster passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born September 20, 1941 in Wayne County, the son of Earl L. and Kerrine Clark Wharton.   He married Sandra Rhein on December 16, 1961.   She survives.
He was a 1959 graduate of Shreve High School and retired from International Paper in 2006 after 47-1/2 years of service.   Earl was a member of the Eagles, Ohio State Archaeological Society and the Johnny Appleseed Chapter of the Ohio Archaeological Society.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Monique (Jeff) Sanders and Gregory Wharton both of Wooster and Stacie Wharton of Reston, Virginia; grandchildren, Ashley, Heather, Jason, Tayler and Sava and his siblings, David Wharton of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Mark Wharton of Wooster and Connie Bohl of Ashland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Linda Kelly and brothers Dan and Jeff Wharton.
There will be no calling hours or services.
