Earl M. Carpenter, 87, of Wooster died Saturday, December 5, 2015 at his home.
He was born August 30, 1928 in Akron to Cecil and Gertrude Williams Carpenter.   On July 23, 1960, he married Margaret J. Mackey.   She preceded him in death on May 17, 2007.
Earl was a truck driver and a member of the Living Water Fellowship.   Earl served his country in the U.S. Army Air Force.   He was a member of Ebenezer Lodge #33 F. & A.M. and American Legion Post #68.   He enjoyed camping and the outdoors.
He is survived by his step-children Ronald (Lavaun) Mackey of Minot, ND, David (Karen) Gray of Wooster; children Andrew, Donald, Wilma, Harold and James Carpenter; step-grandchildren Rhonda and Paula Mackey, Lisa Church and Jason Gray and a step-great-grandson Christopher Mackey.
Along with his wife, Earl was preceded in death by his parents and a step-daughter Sandra Church.
Inurnment of his cremains will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville, OH 44273.
Friends will be received on Wednesday January 6 from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.
