Edward J. Hunter, 91, of Holmesville died Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Sycamore Run Nursing Home.  
He was born August 27, 1926 in Coshocton to Jay and Ellen McIntyre Hunter.   He married Jean Lowe in 1947 and she preceded him in death in 1997.   He later married Joanne Morrison Sheely of Millersburg, who survives.
Edward was a graduate of Warsaw High School and served his country in the United State Army during World War Two.   He attended the Holmesville Church of Christ and a Mason for over 65 years.   He retired from Ohio Power after 40 years.
Along with his wife, Edward is survived by his son Scott (Kathy) Hunter; grandchildren Stephanie, Cletus and Katy Hunter; great grandchildren Cameron and Camille and step children Judi Neville, Jenyce Wise, Joni Carter, Ed and Jac Haudenschild and their families.
Along with his first wife, Jean, Edward was preceded in death by his parents; a son Steve Hunter; a brother Andrew Hunter and a sister Ellen Gill.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 28, 2017 in the Canal Lewisville Cemetery in Coshocton.

McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
