WOOSTER –  Eleanor R. Duffy, 90, of Wooster, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Rittman.
She was born January 5, 1924 in Cincinnati, the daughter of Joe and Grace Bohn Kneipp. She married James H. Duffy on January 3, 1948. He preceded her in death on June 22, 2011.
She was a homemaker and had worked for Weitzel Dry Cleaning. She was a member of the Sunday Sewing Club and enjoyed quilting, camping and fishing.
Surviving are her children, Karen Lintala of Dublin, Tom Duffy of Katy, TX, Don (Jan) Duffy of Marshallville, Bill (Connie) Duffy of Wooster, Amy Slabaugh of Massillon, and Richard (Cindy) Duffy of Wooster;  a daughter-in-law, Vicki Duffy;  grandchildren, Heidi Lintala, Scott Duffy, Susan Duffy, David Duffy, Robin (Ben) Stocker, Emma (Ryan) Fletcher, Frank Duffy, Zach Slabaugh, Sarah (Nate) Mullins and Megan Duffy; Step children Holly and Adam Lewis and Josh (Angie) Hixenbaugh; great-grandchildren, Niyaa, Maycie, Beau, Thomas, Henry, Peyton, Coleman, Carson and Cora and siblings, Rita, Robert, Dorothy, Raymond, Charles, Elizabeth and Eugene.
In addition to her husband, Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, a son, James and siblings Mary, Rosie, Joseph, James, William, Thomas and Charlene.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 from 6-8:00 p.m. and at the Evans Funeral Home, 741 Center Street, Milford on Saturday, December 27, 2014 from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m.
A Service of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:45 a.m. at The Evans Funeral Home, 741 Center Street, Milford, Ohio on Saturday, December 27, 2014 with Deacon Tim Schutte officiating. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
