WOOSTER – Ellen G Firebaugh, 86, of Wooster, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017 at West View Healthy Living in Wooster with her loving family beside her.
She was born January 3, 1931 in Ruggles, OH, the daughter of Franklin   and Lynda Daniels Sutherland.   She married Jay Glenn Firebaugh on May 14, 1950.   He preceded her in death on September 21, 2015.
She was a homemaker and had worked at the Beeson Hospital, the O.A.R.D.C. and in the auditors office.   She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and was a volunteer with Hospice & Palliative Care of Greater Wayne Co.
Surviving are her children, Anne (Pat) Hartel of Newcomerstown, Kathy (Ron)   Gochnauer, Dawne   Staggs, Stan (Nancy) Firebaugh all of Wooster and Scott (Cindi) Firebaugh of Burbank; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law Jim Staggs and a grandson, Toby Jay Firebaugh.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 2-4:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 11, 2017 at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Bartholomew and Pastor Chad Palmer officiating.   Interment will follow in the New Pittsburg Cemetery.
