Ernest Haldane Moore, 98, of Wooster, formerly of Creston, died Saturday November 8, 2014 at Smithville Western Care Center.  
He was born June 11, 1916 in Adena, Ohio to Ernest O. and Altai Hastings Moore.   Ernest graduated from Apple Creek High School in 1935.   On June 21, 1953 he married Ruth W. Brokaw.   She preceded him in death in 1995.
Ernest moved to Apple Creek in 1923 and began farming after high school.   After marrying Ruth he moved to East Liverpool for 6 years where he worked for the Jewel Tea Co.   In 1959, Ernest and his family returned to Wayne County where he worked for Rutt & Amstutz, Inc.  He also drove school bus briefly for North Central Schools.   Ernest began hauling milk cans to the dairy in 1966 and then drove a bulk milk truck until retirement in 1981.   Ernest was a member of Smithville Methodist Church, and then Smithville United Methodist Church for most of his life.
He is survived by his son Daniel (Carol) Moore of Ashley, sisters Marjorie Noletti of Wooster, Wilda Soka of Mansfield, Lena Horn of Wooster and brothers Wayne Moore of Kingman, AZ and David Moore of Burbank.
Along with his wife, Ernest was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Bascom and Glenn Moore.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 12, 2014 at 1:00 at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Rev. D. Josh Arrington officiating.   Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.   Friends will be received on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
