Harold Joseph Chenevey, 88, of Wooster died Saturday September 27, 2014 at his home.
He was born May 2, 1926 in Holmes County to Arthur and Josephine Marthey Chenevey.   On July 14, 1951 he married Sally Ann Hale.   She survives.
Harold retired after 26 years in machine maintenance at Rubbermaid.   He has also worked for Nickel Plate Railroad in Brewster as a machinist.   Harold served his country in the U. S. Army during World War II.   He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Catholic Foresters and the American Legion Post 68.
Along with his wife, Harold is survived by his children Mark (Med) Chenevey of Moore, OK, Philip Chenevey of Atlanta, GA, Marcia (Melvin) Chenevey Long of Cincinnati, Keith (Cheryl) Chenevey of Fredericksburg and Diane (Michael) Kinney of Wooster; grandchildren Joseph (Lien), Michael, Jon (Leyla) and Amanda Chenevey, Joshua (Melissa) and Brittany (fiancée Trey Helmling) Long and Arielle and Michael Kinney III; great grandchildren  Brandon, Christian and Evie Chenevey and sisters Odile Soehnlen of Beach City and Teresa McElhinny of Akron.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Raymond and Archie Chenevey, Eileen Roberts, Marjorie Hummel and Gertrude Barkey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday October 1, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave, Wooster with Rev. Augustine Dongseop Lee as celebrant.   Interment will be in Calmoutier Cemetery.  
Friends will be received from 5:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with a rosary service starting at 4:15 PM.
