Iris Louise Wood, 91, of Wooster died Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Smithville Western Care Center.
She was born June 11, 1924 in Barberton to Frank and Lucy Parsons Barber.   On May 29, 1947, she married Edwin Wood.   He preceded her in death March 4, 1984.
Iris had worked for the Wright Tool and Forge, Westwood Market and Hartman ™s Farmer ™s Market.   She enjoyed painting miniature birdhouses.
She is survived by her daughters Sandy (Rick) Hartman of Wooster and Vickie Griffin of Uniontown; grandchildren Melanie Mowrer of Wooster, Megan Jolly of Hutchinson, KS; great grandchildren Madeline, Jeret and Clay Mowrer and Julia and Emma Jolly;   sister, Phyllis Douglas of MI and a brother, Gary Barber of Barberton.
Along with her husband, Iris was preceded in death by a son Gregg Wood.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 10:00 AM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Rev. Eric Fairhurst officiating.   Interment will follow in Wooster Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 PM.
