WOOSTER “ Jack Derflinger, of Wooster passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.
He was born in Orrville, the son of Jack and Mary Smith Derflinger.   He married Candy Tipton on March 8, 2001.   She survives.
He had worked as a roofer, was a member of the Eagles, Moose and American Legion Post 68 of Wooster.   Jack enjoyed helping people, making them laugh and playing cards.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, John (Karen) Mullen of Big Prairie, Mike and Chad Derflinger both of Wooster and his grandchildren, his loving canine companion Sasha and his two cats, Thelma and Louise.
He was preceded in death by his father and his mother and step-father, Clarence and Mary Leighty and a brother Jimmy Derflinger.
There will be no calling hours or services.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
