WOOSTER “ Jack S. Moore, 79, of Wooster passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.
He was born August 5, 1937 in Massillon, the son of Chester and Gwen Butt Moore.   He married Betty Hoff on August 13, 1966.   She survives.
He retired from J.R. Smail Oil and Gas as a well tender.   He had been a volunteer at Wooster Community Hospital for a number of years and he loved his 1936 Dodge Truck and Rock and Roll.
He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army from 1960-1963.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Christopher (Jennifer) Moore of Norris, Tennessee and Gregory Moore of Stow; grandchildren, Kasey and Molly Moore, a sister Jean (Bob) James of Fredericksburg, a nephew, Robert James and a niece, Susan James.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Friday evening, August 26, 2016, from 6-8:00 p.m.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Prairie Township Cemetery in Holmesville with the Rev. Kenneth Thomas officiating.
