WOOSTER – Jeffrey Scott Mellert, 53, of Wooster, passed away at his home surrounded by his family–he went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, June 26, 2018.
He was born May 16, 1965 in Pontiac, MI, son of Alfred S and Pamela K Smith Mellert.
He had worked at Okey’s Alignment.   Jeffrey liked to travel, fish and spend time outdoors.   He enjoyed reading, drawing and painting.
Surviving are his mother and father, Pamela K (Roger) Martin of Wooster; his grandmother, Catherine Martin of Wooster; daughters, Melinda K (Jason) Chaney of Killbuck and Heather M (Josh) Menuez of Wilmot; grandchildren, Blaine, Abigail, Ansleigh and Brantlee; siblings, Michele D. (Tony) Howman of Orrville, Bradley A (Sandra) Mellert of Ingleside, TX, Michael R (Sheryl) Martin of Ewa Beach, HI, Roger A (Norine) Martin of Rittman, and Daniel E (Colleen) Martin of Aurora.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father, maternal grandparents, Asher Lee and Margaret Dicus and paternal grandparents, Albert and Lois Mellert and Herbert Martin
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the Noon service on Monday, July 2, 2018 at the West Hill Baptist Church, 2241 Mechanicsburg Rd., Wooster with Pastor Eric Fairhurst and Pastor Dan Wingate officiating.   Private family burial will be held.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
