Jerrold Hugh œJerry  HUTCHISON, 75, of Wooster, formerly of Smithville, died Thursday November 5, 2015 at LifeCare Hospice after a period of declining health.   He was a resident of Smithville-Western Care Center since 2013.
He was born July 23, 1940 in Wooster to the late Virgil and Lola Hostetler Hutchison of Smithville.   He graduated from Smithville High School and was a long time employee of L. Hostetler and Son, Inc., Smithville, retiring in 2002.
Jerry was a lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where he sang in the choir and served on the church council.   Jerry enjoyed outdoor pursuits of cycling and skiing, which included cycling tours in Hawaii and England.   He was a member of Wheels Over Wayne Bicycle Club. Jerry also was an avid steam railroad fan and took many steam railroading excursions.   He will be remembered for his fondness of BBQ ribs, Bishop ™s onion rings and the Shreve Business Men ™s BBQ chicken at the Wayne County Fair.   Jerry was a member of the Wayne County Choral Union and the Smithville Ruritans.   He enjoyed Ohio State University sports, especially football.
He is survived by his twin brother James (Margaret) Hutchison of Suttons Bay, MI and sister Martha Junkin of Wooster and nine nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William Hutchison.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. service on Monday November 9, 2015, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 777 S. Summit St., Smithville, with Rev. Kristy Buyok officiating. Private interment will be held later at a time convenient to the family in Smithville Cemetery.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be directed to the St. Paul Lutheran Church Music Fund, 777 S. Summit St., Smithville, Ohio   44677 or to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
