WOOSTER “ John P. Jordan, Jr., 77, of Wooster passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017 at BrennField Nursing Home in Orrville.
He was born December 30, 1939 in Wooster, the son of John P. Sr. and Ruth Bridenstine Jordan.   He married Dottie Snyder on August 1, 1958.   She survives.
He had been a Senior Claims Representative for State Auto Insurance for over 25 years retiring in 2001.   He was a 62 year member of the Wooster United Methodist Church.
He was a member of the Wooster Elks, the Masonic Lodge of Wooster, an avid sports fan and a big NASCAR fan.   He enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Dottie, he is survived by his children, Barb (Tony) Figura of Wooster and John P. œTrey  (Marcie) Jordan, III of Suttons Bay, Michigan; 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a brother, Richard (Dianne) Jordan of Raleigh, North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Douglas A. Jordan on November 7, 2012.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home on Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 6-8:00 p.m. with an Elks Memorial Service at 5:30 p.m.
Services will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017, at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Charles Tobias officiating.   Burial will follow in the Wooster Cemetery.
