Joseph D. Lucci, Sr., 73 of Wooster, died Friday, January 29, 2016 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.
He was born September 11, 1942, in Wooster to James Vincent and Alta Lucille Franks Lucci.   On May 7, 1960, he married Kate Haven.   She survives.
Joe had been a construction foreman for Nu-Way construction for over 40 years, retiring in 2009.   He was a member of the New Pittsburg United Methodist Church, the New Pittsburg Lions, and a former trustee for the Wayne-Holmes Soap Box Derby.   He drove race cars, enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and anything that had to do with his grandkids.   He also enjoyed watching NASCAR.
Along with his wife, Joe is survived by his children Frank (Michelle) Lucci of Smithville, Robert (Lisa) Lucci, Joseph (Betty) Lucci, Jr. and Sherria (Ben Breneman) Lucci all of Wooster; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and a sister Jerri (Thomas) Banks of Ada.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents and a brother James.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 1, 2016 at 11:00 AM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Rev. Jon Heavilin officiating.   Interment will follow in New Pittsburg Cemetery.  
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 PM.
