WOOSTER “ Judith S. Szemplak, 76, of Wooster passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Akron City Hospital.
She was born April 26, 1938 in Cleveland, the daughter of  Michael and Anne Karsznia Greeley.   She married Jerome C. Szemplak on October 24, 1959.   He survives.
Judy retired in 2012 as a nurse from the Cleveland Clinic Wound care Center and Akron General Wound Care Center and had worked as a clinical nurse specialist for Wooster Community Hospital and also as a Enterostomal and as a wound care specialist and had worked at Deaconess Hospital and was currently a volunteer for LifeCare Hospice and had lead many œI Can Cope  support groups.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.   Judy enjoyed tennis, skiing, was a member of the Investment Club and enjoyed traveling the world with her husband.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Jeffrey J. (Nancy L.) Szemplak of Cleveland, Michelle L. (Steve) Moran of Hilton Head, SC and Sandra J. (Jeff) Kahn of Port Washington, NY; grandchildren, Ryan J. Szemplak, Morgan, Kendall and Jordan Moran and Henry and Sachi Kahn; siblings, Linda Rice and Larry Greely; brother-in-law, James (Elaine) Szemplak and sister-in-law, Joan (Paul) Budnick.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends will be received on Sunday, March 1, 2015 from 4-7:00 p.m. at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster with the Rev. Stephen Moran as celebrant.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 525 N. Broad St., Canfield, OH 44406.
