WOOSTER “ Lamar E. Wengerd, 63, of Wooster passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Smithville Western Care Center.
He was born May 13, 1952 in Fredericksburg, the son of Claude and Fannie Miller Wengerd.   He married Susan Fouch on February 1, 1980.   She survives.
He was a farmer and had worked for the Gerstenslager Co. and the Holmes/Wayne Transportation.   He enjoyed Stock Tractor Pulling, collecting pedal tractors and hunting.   Lamar was a member of the Moreland United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Zachary Wengerd of Wooster, brothers, Larry, Ed and Don Wengerd, a sister Claudia Scott and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends  will be received 1 hour prior to the 2:00 p.m. service on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at the Moreland United Methodist Church, 138 E. Moreland Road, Wooster with the Rev. Tom Fish officiating.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
