WOOSTER – Lena Louise McDougale, 90, of Wooster passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Wooster Community Hospital.

She was born June 26, 1927 in Holmesville, the daughter of Gifford and Daisy Wimer Gard.

She was a homemaker and Protestant by faith.  Lena had also worked at Rubbermaid.  She enjoyed word searches, watching and feeding birds and squirrels, working in her garden and flower beds and visiting with her family, especially Kyle and Collin.

She is survived by her children, Linda L. (Richard) Snyder of Medina and Steven G. McDougale of Wooster; Grandchildren, Christine, Brandy, Dudley, III, Nancy and Crystal; special great-grandchildren, Kyle and Collin and many others and a sister Ellen Kaufman of Loudonville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 54 years, Dudley J. McDougale, Sr. in 2004, a son Dudley J. McDougale, Jr. and an infant daughter, Peggy Lou.  She was also preceded by her siblings, Herman Gard, Mary Hendrickson, Helen Poulson, Shirley Beale, Norma Burris and Gary Gard.

Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Monday, July 17, 2017 from 6-8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Ken Thomas officiating.  Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

Those who wish may make contributions to the funeral home to help with expenses.
