CANTON “ Linda R. Slabey, 66, of Canton went to be with our heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 after a brief battle with cancer at the Chapel Hill Community in Canal Fulton.
She was born May 13, 1950, the daughter of Vernon and Regina Walczak Slabey.  Step daughter of Maryannetta Green Slabey who all preceded her in death.  She grew up in Parma and had lived in Westfield, New Jersey.  She was a graduate of Mt. Union College in 1972 and had resided in the Akron/Canton area.
Linda is survived by a sister, Cynthia (Dan) Kronemyer of San Diego, California and brothers, Jeffrey Green of Canton, Christopher (Allison) Green of Wooster, Whitney (Patty) Green of Cincinnati and dear friends, Pamela Lang of Canton, Judith Cairns of Monroe, North Carolina, Shirley Burton of Cuyahoga Falls, a cousin, Lynn (Marilyn) Slabey, Sr. of Akron and 10 nieces and nephews.
Linda was a devout follower of Christ Jesus and will be truly missed by her friends and family.
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the 12:30 p.m. funeral service on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with the Rev. Brian White officiating.   Burial will follow in the Wooster Cemetery.
