WOOSTER “ Loren S. Drury, 91, of Wooster passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Akron City Hospital.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Loren’s memory to the Drury Family Benevolant Fund, for the medical care of his great-grandson at any First Merit Bank branch.
He was born August 25, 1925 in Bennington, Michigan, the son of LeRoy and Margaret Louise Hampton Drury.   He married Mary Lou Semrau in 1957.   She survives.
He was a graduate of Owosso High School in Michigan and a graduate of Michigan State University.   He had been a sales rep for Farm Bureau and a sales manager for Bellaire Log Cabin Manufacturing Company and a sales rep for All Seasons Realty.
He was a member of the Bellaire United Methodist Church in Michigan and the Zion Lutheran Church in Wooster.   Loren was a member of the Bellaire Masonic Lodge #398 F. & A.M. 32nd Degree and the Wooster Ebenezer Masonic Lodge #33 F. & A.M., Past President of both of the Traverse City Shrine Club and Northland Shrine Club, The Wooster Shrine Club, the Marine League, and Toys for Tots.  
He enjoyed woodworking and had constructed a Danish Cross for his church in Bellaire.   He also enjoyed gardening, deer hunting, fishing, horseback riding, boating, reading, and music (especially bagpipes).   He was always by his wife ™s side.   He was a true family man. He was a very strong, yet soft spoken and gentle man.He proudly served his country with the U.S. Marines during WWII. He served on the USS Enterprise in the Pacific, and was awarded several medals.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Elsa (Larry) Miller of Wooster, Don (Cathy) Drury of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Nick (Tammy) Drury of Chesterfield, Michigan; grandchildren, Amanda Miller First of Wooster, Trisha (Jason) Kalamaras of Cape Coral, Florida, Matthew Drury of Lansing, Michigan, Taylor Drury of Tinley Park, Illinois and Shannon Drury of Clinton Twp., Michigan; great-grandchildren, Christian, Nicholas and Grace First and Hailey and Kyle Kalamaras, and Brooklyn Drury and a sister Pauline Clayton of Washington.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Donna Dodo, Doris Giuli, Lena Cook and LeRoy œBud  Drury.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
