WOOSTER – On Sunday, April 29, 2018, Lydia McClintock moved from her temporary residence to her permanent heavenly home. There she was met by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Then followed the reunion of her family who had gone on before. Her son, Kenneth; oh the joy of seeing him again! Her parents Ed and Mary Zimmerly, brother and sister-in-law Lester and Lou Zimmerly, sisters Ida Welty, Bessie Harder, and Ruth Zimmerly, sister-in-law Donna Zimmerly, brothers-in-law Ernest Steffen and Albert Harder, in-laws Florence and Carl McClintock, nephews Joel and Keith Zimmerly, and a host of friends. What a happy celebration!
Surviving is her daughter Karen (John) Beery, granddaughters Heather (Gary) Miller and Sacha (Chad) Kauffman all of Wooster. Great grandchildren Maxton and Alexia Miller and Courson, Porter, and Chase Kauffman, sister Lillie Steffen, brothers Dan Zimmerly, Dave (Barb) Zimmerly, Jim (Carol) Zimmerly, and Ray (Hilda) Zimmerly, and brother-in-law Denver Welty.
Lydia was born near Dalton and lived all her life in Wayne County.
She worked many years at Frito-Lay in Wooster. Lydia enjoyed reading, traveling, walking and family get-togethers, and she loved the ocean.
Lydia was a member of Grace Brethren Church of Wooster.
Lydia had a great concern for her unsaved friends and loved ones. She spent much time in prayer for many people especially her great grandchildren.
This is her wish for all her family and friends:
               Meet me there
Where the tree of life is blooming,
Meet me there on that happy golden shore,
Where the faithful part no more.
I am going home to stay.
                            Meet me there.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 3rd at 11 AM at Grace Church of Wooster. Family will greet guests starting at 10 AM.
