WOOSTER “ Mark Stephen Zarlengo, 31, of Wooster passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016 at Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born May 9, 1985 in Wooster, the son of Stephen and Susan McVey Zarlengo.
He was a 2004 graduate of Triway High School where he was all conference in football and was a pitcher for the baseball team and the Wayne Co. American Legion team.   For the past 6 years, he had been a supervisor at Luk, Inc.   Mark was a member of the Lamplighters, enjoyed sports and loved the Cleveland Browns, Cavs and Indians.
He is survived by his parents of Wooster, a daughter, Giada Zarlengo of Wooster; a sister, Jennifer Scalia of North Carolina; his grandmother, Helen McVey of Creston; his girlfriend, Janixa Chaffin of Wooster and numerous, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Kenneth McVey and grandparents, Francis and Flo Zarlengo.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 5-8:00 p.m.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster with the Rev. Stephen Moran as the Celebrant.   Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Wooster.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Giada Zarlengo Scholarship Fund c/o any Wooster PNC Bank.
