SALEM – Marty L Airwyke, 45, passed away suddenly at his home in Salem, Ohio on August 2,2016He was born March 26, 1971 to John and Cathy (Daugherty) Airwyke in Wooster, Ohio.
He had attended Wooster High School. He was a resident of Wooster until he became employed by Lowes and was relocated several times. He then became employed by Home Depot for the past 16 years where he made his home.
He attended Wooster High School where he played baseball and was known for his love of the outdoorswhere he loved to fish, hunt and play golf and enjoyed bowling as well.  He also was a loyal fan of the Cleveland Sports especially the Browns. He also followed the Ohio State Buckeyes as well.  He had a truepassion for music but his true love was his children and spending time with family and friends.
He always had a smile on his face, loved to be silly but when it came to work he was very dedicated and never missed a day. If someone needed help with something, he was sure to be there.
Surviving are his father, John Airwyke of Wooster, grandmother Barb Ridgeway of Wooster and children Brennan Airwyke of Salem, Olivia and Dawson Airwyke of Warren and Kaley Hudson of Wooster. He also has a grandson, Caden Guthrie of Wooster. Siblings include brother’s Matt Airwyke of Wooster, John Smith of Wooster, Dave Smith of Dalton and a sister Kristy Sherman of Wooster. And many nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles.
Marty is preceded in death by his mother Cathy (Daugherty) Hartman, his grandfather’s Dale Ridgeway and Charles Daugherty and Marie and Harry Airwyke.
Services will be Tuesday August 9, 2016 at 11:00 am at McIntire, Bradham, and Sleek Funeral home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with the Rev. Arnie Kaufman officiating.
Friends will be received on Monday evening, August 8, 2016 from 5-8:00 pm at the funeral home.
