WOOSTER Mary Catharine Brown, age 72, of Wooster, passed away January 16, 2016 surrounded by her family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mary was a member of Moreland United Methodist Church, which was also where she married her life-long love, Kenneth Brown. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and friend, always putting others before herself.
Mary made many friends over her 32 years at Dari-Land where she was always called Mom by family and friends. She had the most generous, loving heart and touched many lives with her presence. Her family and friends will always be thankful for the gift that was her life. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents Charles and Rosabelle Lautzenhiser and sister s Barbara Mcintyre and Linda Sipes.
Survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Kenneth Brown; daughter Pamela (Timothy Osborne) McVay; daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Rodney Ickes; son Christopher Brown; son and daughter-in-law Kyle and Jennifer Brown; grandchildren Jordan Ickes, Bryce Ickes, Logan Ickes, Jacob McVay, Shelby Thompson, Nevaeh Miller, Wesley Brown; great grandchild Jocelyn Thompson; sister Margaret Polen, brother and sister-in-law James and Marla Lautzenhiser.
The family will receive friends 11:00 to 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 23, 2016, at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster followed by a memorial service at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Moreland United Methodist Church cemetery.
