WOOSTER “ Mary DeRodes, 95, of Wooster passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Wooster Community Hospital.
She was born March 3, 1922 in Three Springs, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Frank L. and Muta A. Parks Fix.   She married Robert C. Long on October 13, 1940.   He preceded her in death on October 8, 1981.   She then married Bert DeRodes on July 1, 1984.   He preceded her in death on December 23, 1989.
Mary had worked as a Ward Clerk at Wooster Community Hospital.   She was a member of the Paradise Church of the Brethren.   Mary loved to quilt, make afghan ™s, babysit her grand and great-grandchildren and she loved flowers.
Surviving are her children, Gloria Ann Reichel of Bay Village, Carole Koehler of Riverside, California, Linda Keillor of Canal Fulton, Daniel Long of Perrysville, Cynthia Fisher of Lakemore and Debbie Luke of Burbank; 13 grandchildren and many, many great-grandchildren; siblings, Maxine Bard, Lois Linke, Blaine Fix and Phillip Fix all of Pennsylvania.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded by her parents, a son, Roger F. Long in 1991 and her siblings, Helen, Arlene, Carlys, Phyllis, Harold, Earl and Clair.
Friends will be received Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 6-8:00 p.m. at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Terry Vaught officiating.   Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
