WOOSTER “ Mary Jane Yacapraro, 74, of Wooster passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Jane was born in Mansfield to Robert and Helen Mouser Wallace.   She married Dr. Michael A. Yacapraro on December 21, 1964.   They were married 54 years.
In 1968 Jane and Dr. Yacapraro opened the Wooster Animal Clinic where she was a bookkeeper, receptionist and technician.   She continued to be a vital member of the Wooster Animal Clinic Staff.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.   Jane loved playing board games and cards with her grandchildren.   She liked watching romantic movies with her husband.   Jane was an exceptional decorator and friends loved to visit her cabin to see the changes of seasons.   She enjoyed gardening and puttering around her property with her beloved dog, Annie.   She was fiercely independent.   She enjoyed traveling adventures with her husband to places like Italy, Florida, Canada and Alaska.
Her grandchildren loved her iced tea at family gatherings, her homemade cooking and her gift of generosity and love. She made holidays special and was a friend to all.   Her sweet smile and hugs made everyone feel at home.   She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and enjoyed attending Mass.
Surviving are her children, Jennifer (Scott) Raulston, Tony (Tracy) Yacapraro, Stephanie Rice and Mark (Heidi) Yacapraro; 14 grandchildren; siblings, Robert Wallace and Joy Leedy and many sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, her mother-in-law and father-in-law, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 4-7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 19, 2018 at noon at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster with Rev. Stephen Moran as celebrant.   Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
