WOOSTER “ Paul Melvin Haidet, 88, of Wooster went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 15, 2018 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.
He was born May 19, 1930 in Wooster the son of Harold and Mildred White Haidet.   He married Shirley Krichbaum on February 9, 1951.   She survives.
Paul was the owner of Haidet ™s Bicycle and Lawnmower Shop from 1960 until his retirement in 1995.   In his retirement, he delivered newspapers for the Daily Record for 15 years.   He enjoyed golfing and bowling and in his younger years, he played baseball and softball.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Shirley, are his children, Diane Kovach and Doug Haidet both of Wooster; grandchildren, Rocky Kovach and Carli (John) Romero, great-granddaughter, Wylie Romero and a sister JoAnn Watson of Dalton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Dennis Haidet in 1966 and brothers, Clifford and William Haidet.
There will be no calling hours or services.   Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
The family would like to thank the nurses of the PC unit at Wooster Community Hospital for their excellent and compassionate care.   They also want to thank LifeCare Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion in the care of our loved one.
