WOOSTER “ Phyllis J. Gamble, 90, of Wooster passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at her home.
She was born June 13, 1928 in Kent, the daughter of Pearl W. and Mary L. Deem Province.   She married Lester L. Gamble in October of 1950.   He preceded her in death in July of 1988.
She had been a bus driver for the Upper Arlington Schools for 25 years, had worked at JoAnn Fabrics and was a volunteer at Riverside Methodist Hospital in the sewing guild.   Phyllis was a member of the Wooster United Methodist Church.
Phyllis enjoyed making crafts, traveling, playing bridge, helping others and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her children, Patti Crossmon of Wooster, Gary (Kem) Gamble of Snow Mass, CO and David Gamble of Delaware; grandchildren, Jeremiah A. (Nikki) Crossmon and Theresa L. (Ron) Shearer and Garrett Kroschel; great-grandchildren, Olivia Crossmon, Vivian Crossmon, William Shearer and Madison Shearer.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Cynthia Lee Gamble in 2006 and brothers Harold and Wayne Province.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with the Rev. Jim Cooper officiatinig.   Inurnment will be in the LaRue Cemetery.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
