R. Arlene Beck Hartzler, 96 of Wooster died Tuesday, March 06, 2018 surrounded by her family at West View Healthy Living.
She was born June 17, 1921 in Wooster to Frank and Helen McCullough Beck.   On January 30, 1943, she married Jesse F. œMike  Hartzler.   He preceded her in death on May 9, 1994.
Arlene and Mike owned and operated a dairy farm near Smithville.   They loved their tight knit community of Weilersville. She was a member of the Paradise Church of the Brethren for over 60 years, which she served faithfully.   Arlene loved playing cards every Thursday with Nancy and nieces Janet Connelly and Joyce Good.   She loved seeing her great-grandchildren at West View Healthy Living. They entertained her and everyone else.   Arlene really enjoyed visits from Chuck and Kathy Hartzler because Kathy always baked goodies.
She is survived by her daughter Nancy (Bob) Bogner; daughters-in-law Charlene Hartzler and Sandy Hartzler; grandchildren Heather Leeder, Chad (Karen) Hartzler, Sean (Julie) Hartzler, Shane Hartzler, Brian (Amy) Bogner, Mike (Kelli) Bogner, Adam (Bernadette) Bogner, Jessie (Josh) Renner and Lee (Stacy) Hartzler; great-grandchildren Taylor Leeder, Holly Leeder, Sean Leeder, Chloe œArlene  Hartzler, Drew Hartzler, Owen Hartzler, Brennen Hartzler, Kennedy Hartzler, Jake Hartzler, Makayla Maxwell, Aubrey Hartzler, Bailey Bogner, Garrett Bogner, Grady Bogner, Owen Bogner, Piper Bogner, Archie Bogner, Bunny Bogner, Colt Hartzler, Ella Hartzler, Nicholas Renner.
Along with her husband, Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, sons Thomas L. Hartzler and Dennis R. Hartzler and siblings Anna (George) Wirth, Helen (Hoyland) Austin, Raymond (Gerry) Beck, Florence (Wilmer) Chance and George (Dorothy) Beck.
We want to thank Mother ™s West View Healthy Living family for taking such phenomenal care of her.   They were a blessing.   We also want to thank Crossroads Hospice for the excellent care and compassion they gave her and our family.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 1:00 PM at West View Healthy Living with Pastor Kirk Fairhurst officiating.
