WOOSTER “ Richard Hugh œRich  Chapin, 57, of Wooster passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2016 from injuries received in an automobile accident.
He was born December 31, 1958 in Ashtabula, the son of George and Lucille Bailey Chapin.   He married Barbara Liebhart on June 11, 1988.   She survives.
Rich enjoyed woodcarving, hiking, photography, spending time with his family, especially his kids.   He was a very faithful man.   He also was a member of the Smithville Brethren Church where he was a Deacon, the church ™s treasurer and a sound technician.   He was a controller for Yutzy Woodworking.  
Rich was an incredible man with a million amazing qualities.   He will deeply, deeply missed and a part of him will live in all of us forever.   We love you deeply, we miss you terribly and we will see you again someday.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Catherine œKatie  Chapin and Michael Chapin both of Wooster; his mother, Lucille Gilbert of Wooster, his beloved aunt Wilma Bailey, his siblings, Betty (Gene) Kelsey of Springboro, Mary Richards of Reminderville, Nancy (Chuck) Bishop of Akron, Bill (Marie) Chapin of Richmond, VA, his father and mother-in-law, Lavon (Louise) Liebhart, brothers and sisters-in-laws, Ken (Wendy) Liebhart and Rob (Emily) Liebhart and many nieces and nephews who loved him very much.
Rich was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Tom Chapin.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Smithville Brethren Church, 193 E. Main St., Smithville with Rev. Art Carr officiating.   Interment will follow in Wooster Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Tuesday evening from 5:00-8:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.  
Contributions be directed to either the National Kidney Foundation, P.O. Box 45099, Westlake, OH 44145 or to the American Diabetes Association, 4500 Rockside Rd, Suite 440, Independence, OH 44131.
