Robert C. Miller, 87, of Smithville, passed away on Saturday Jan. 3, 2016 in LifeCare Hospice.
Bob was born Feb. 15, 1928 in Berlin Ohio to Ester (Hummel) and Paul Miller. He graduated from Smithville High School and married Barbara Styer in 1951. He served in the Air Force AACS Squadron in the Korean War from 1951-54 as an air traffic controller. Bob worked as service manager for Strickland-Mason (Laria Chevrolet Buick) in Rittman Ohio, retiring after 42 years of service.
Bob enjoyed his work and his customers. He had a passion for motorcycles, riding to Key West upon his retirement. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and close friends. He was a member of St. Paul ™s Lutheran Church in Smithville.
Bob is survived by daughter Phoebe (John) Larson of Rockford IL; daughter Leah Karagiannides of Brunswick OH; grandchildren Samuel and Lincoln Shisler, and Maria Karagiannides; and brother Tom (Ester) Miller of Orlando, FL.
Funeral service will be Thursday, January 7th at 2:30 pm St Paul ™s Lutheran Church 777 S. Summit Rd. Smithville, Ohio 44677 with the Reverend Kristy Buyok officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Bob ™s memory to LifeCare Hospice 1900 Akron Rd. Wooster, Ohio 44691.
