WOOSTER – Robert C. (Bob) Roseler, 85, was promoted to heaven on Thursday, April 2, 2015, surrounded by the love and support of his loving and devoted wife and family.
He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Nov. 7, 1929, to August and Lucille (Clark) Roseler. He was spiritually reborn in December 1971.
He married Evelyn Rosalie Simison on April 26, 1952. Together they raised a family of four children: David (Karen) Roseler of Norwalk, Ohio; Daniel Roseler of Columbus, Ohio; Debbie (David) Lewandowski of Indianapolis, Ind.; and Dwight (Vicki) Roseler of Wooster, Ohio.
Bob was a 1951 Ohio State University Soil Science graduate.   He worked briefly for the Soil Conservation Service in Montana.     In Ohio, he worked for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Land and Soils, for several years mapping the soils of Clinton and Lorain Counties.
He and the family resided in the country of Panama for two years, where Bob conducted soils mapping work. Upon return to the U.S., he worked for the Summit County Health Department as a soil specialist prior to his retirement in 1985. He served on the Lorain County Board of Health, Zoning Board of Appeals, and church leadership board for many years.
Bob enjoyed spending time with family, attending his grandkids activities, camping, wood-working, serving his Lord in the local church and on the mission field. He faithfully served on several short-term mission trips to Central & South America, Papua New Guinea and U.S. He had a unique knack to resourcefully œfix all sorts of things.
His spiritual legacy to give, serve and live for Christ resides in his children, 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He and Evelyn were active members of the Church of the Open Door in Elyria, Ohio, and the Baptist Church in Wellington, Ohio, where they resided for 45 years. They built a home in Wooster 10 years ago and served at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Sterling, Ohio.
In addition to his four children, Bob is survived by his wife Evelyn of 62 years, grandchildren: Katie (Marshall), Ryan (Alicia), Kimberly, Joshua, Ian (Samantha), Emily, Benjamin, Jennifer (Joshua), Sarah, Jonathan, Anna and great- grandchildren: Anthony, Nicholas, Matthew and Abigail.
