WOOSTER “ Scott M. Franks, 58 of Wooster passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.
He was born December 6, 1959 in Wooster, the son of Hal and Peggy Merriman Franks.   He married Mary McFarland on October 26, 1985.   She survives.
He was a landscape contractor and the owner of Franks Foliage and Landscape, Inc. for 37 years.   Scott held the certification of Landscape industry Certified Manager with the National Association of Landscape Professionals.   He was a member of the Elks Lodge and NRA.   Scott enjoyed fishing, water skiing, motorcross, target shooting and camping.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Mary is a daughter, Carley Franks of Wooster; his mother, Peggy Franks of Wooster; his mother-in-law, Mildred McFarland of Wooster; a niece, Courtney Olevnik of Erie, PA; cousins, Jack Burgess, Chuck Burgess and Jill Speicher Arnett and his beloved dogs, Hooch, Ruger and Aghy.
He was preceded in death by his father, a sister, Betsy Franks Champlin and his father-in-law, William McFarland.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 6-8:00 p.m.
