WOOSTER “ Stanley Elwood Orr, 88, of Wooster passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.
He was born June 2, 1929 in Killbuck the son of Glen and Bessie McKelvey Orr.   He married Doris Hill on June 26, 1948.   She survives.
He retired in 1991 as a supervisor in the Shipping Dept. at Timken after 36-1/2 years of service.   Stanley was a member of the Parkview Christian Church.   He was a member of Ebenezer Lodge #33 F & AM, the Scottish Rite Valley of Canton, a past president of the Gnat Boxers Square Dance Club, a past Elder, Deacon and Chairman of the Board at Central Christian Church and a Deacon at Parkview Christian Church.
He loved golfing, square dancing, traveling with his wife and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Doris, are his children, Lora (Larry) Lehman of Kidron, Pam(Fred) Studer of Orrville and Michele (Tom) Hobart of Apple Creek; grandchildren, Ryan (Alana) Studer, Lesley Lehman, Lance (Ashley) Lehman, Heather (Josh) Garrett, Melissa (Brian) Kruszewski and Ashley McElroy; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother Ned Orr of Apple Creek.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Jeffrey Allen Studer and siblings, Wanda Close, Robert Orr and Dale Orr.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 6-8:00 p.m. with a Masonic Memorial service at 5:30 p.m.
A Memorial service will be held at the Parkview Christian Church, 1912 Burbank Rd., Wooster on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Brian White officiating.   Private family burial will be in the Killbuck Cemetery.
