WOOSTER “ Stanley R. Snyder, 78, of Wooster passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born August 5, 1936 in Wooster, the son of Sherman R. and Grace Rowland Snyder.   He married Betty Botkin on April 24, 1960.   She survives.
He had worked for 38 years for Snyder Brothers Paving and was a lifelong farmer.   Stanley was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church.   He was a hard worker who loved his family,  roses, tractors, dump trucks and his dog Pepper.
He was an exceptional husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and would have done anything for anybody.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Sherry K. (Allen) Parish and Scott R. (Sherri Spear) Snyder both of Wooster; his grandchildren, Sheila E. (Shawn Dellafave) Snyder, Seth R. Snyder and Alyssa K. Parish and a great-grandson, Liam Dellafave; a sister, Emma Lou (Robert)  Kain of Smithville, a brother-in-law, Jerry (Carol) Botkin of Orrville and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Laurene Arnold.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Sunday, March 8, from 2-4:00 p.m.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 9, at 11:00 a.m. at the Salem Lutheran Church, 4873 Cleveland Rd., Wooster with Pastor Sharon Brown officiating.   A luncheon will follow the memorial service at the church.
