WOOSTER – Tanya Jean Wenger, 85, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster, OH.
She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 3, 1930, the only child of Harold and Wilma McMorris.   She was raised in Willard, OH and graduated from Willard High School in 1948 and graduated from Baldwin Wallace College in 1952 where she was a member of Delta Zeta sorority.
She accepted her first teaching position in Rittman, Ohio where she met her husband Richard (Dick) of 61 years. She later taught English for 20 years at Wooster High School, retiring in 1990.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons David (Pattie) Wenger of Granville, OH, and Kirk Wenger of Sycamore, IL, daughter Kristi (Mark) Bishop of Arlington Heights, IL, eight grandchildren and one great grandson.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
