WOOSTER – Thomas Paul Studer, 65, of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord on Monday,November 10, 2014 surrounded by his loving family after a heroic five-week battlein Akron City Hospital’s ICU Trauma Center. He was born February 6, 1949 inBolivar, Ohio to Russell and Ellen Studer.
Tom was a 1967 graduate of Tusky Valley High where his dad was custodian and hisMother was a bus driver. In years past he had been a corporate recruiter, businessowner, bookmobile driver, and was most recently a dedicated Service Manager atDale James Ford in Apple Creek.
His greatest delight was spending time with his family. He enjoyed the simplerpleasures of life especially farming with his sons, throwing horseshoes, cooking,listening to music; he had a magnificent voice and loved to sing. He was a voraciousreader and a master storyteller regaling everyone with his rambling yarns andhumor.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 44 years, the former Linda Schaefer;five children: Pete (Christina) Studer of Wooster; Helen (Matthew) Loht ofPittsburgh, PA; Jesse (Erin) Studer of Pittsburgh; Hanna Studer of Pittsburgh; NaomiStuder of Wooster; his grandchildren: Cody Norris, Joseph and Jacob Studer, Fox,Scout and Jasper Loht; two brothers,  Dick (Fern) Studer of Strasburg and Jim (Carol) Studer of Strongsville.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and EllenStuder.
Calling hours will be Sunday, November 16, 2014 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at theMcintire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, Ohio.
An additional visitation will be held Monday, November 17, 2014 from 10:00 to11:00 a.m. prior to the 11:00 a.m. church service at Mohican Church of the Brethren,7759 N. Elyria Rd, West Salem OH 44287. Burial will be at New Pittsburg Cemeteryfollowing the service.

Service
Services will be held on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mohican Church of the Brethren, 7759 N. Elyria Rd., W. Salem, OH 44287

Visitation
Friends will be received on Sunday, November 16, 2014 from 1-5:00 p.m. at the funeral home and on Monday 1 hour prior to the service at the Mohican Church of the Brethren.
