Vera Marie (Smith) Metsker, 88, of Wooster died Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at West View Healthy Living.
She was born September 17, 1927 to Cora (Smail) Smith and Fredrick William Smith in Clinton Twp.  
She attended Nashville and Wooster Schools.   She worked at Beeson Hospital and Frito Lay for 20 years.   On July 6, 1964 she married Floyd Metsker.   He preceded her in 1996.
She was a member of Central Christian Church for over 70 years and assisted with communion services for many years.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Lawrence Smith, sisters Leona Krebs and Geneva Root, a niece Florence (Krebs) Echelburger and nephews David Root, Kenneth Krebs and David Smith.
Survivors are nephews Wayne (JoAnn) Krebs, Clinton (Bonnie) Root, William Smith and a niece Patsy (Dale) Root Burckhart.
She had been a resident of West View Healthy Living for 7 years in June.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 2:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Rev. Robin Myers officiating.   Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
