SHREVE – Virgil D. œFuzz  Griffith, 86, of Shreve died Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at his home.  
He was born January 15, 1931 in Shreve to Karl DeHaven and Susan Brendly Griffith.   On October 5, 1956, he married Doris L. Sigler, his wife of over 60 years, who he met in the first grade at Shreve Elementary.   She survives.
Fuzz was a self-employed residential and commercial building contractor in Wayne County for over 50 years.   He was a 1949 graduate of Shreve High School and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, in Füssen, Germany.   He was a member of the EAA since 1973 where he enjoyed traveling to Oshkosh, WI to take part.   He was also a member of the Shreve American Legion Post 67.   Fuzz served on the Wooster Community Hospital Board of Governors as a volunteer for many years and served on the facilities committee.   He was an active member of the Wayne Co. Builders Exchange for many years as well as serving on the Building Board of Appeals for the Board of Wayne County Commissioners.   He enjoyed flying and was a private pilot with his own plane at the Wayne County Airport where he also served on their board for many years.   Fuzz also enjoyed gardening, camping, spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Cody and loved being a grandpa.
Along with his wife, Doris, Fuzz is survived by his daughter Lesa (Brian) Griffith-Dilgard and his grandson Cody Dilgard both of Wooster.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Donald, Lewis, Elizabeth and Fern.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 17, 2017 at 1:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.   Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00-5:00 PM.
