WOOSTER “ Wahneta Mae Sword, 71, of Wooster passed away on Monday, August 11, 2014 at Wooster Community Hospital.
She was born April 4, 1943 in Ashland, the daughter of Samuel C. and Martha May Eberhart Feightner.   She married Jon Sword on April 14, 1968.   He survives.
She retired as a vending hostess for various companies throughout the area.   She was a member of the New Pittsburg United Methodist Church, was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening and taking care of her many dogs.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a cousin, Ruth Walton of Orrville.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from 6-8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. John Heavilin officiating.   Burial will be in the Jefferson Pioneer Cemetery.
