WOOSTER – Wallace Larry Wally CROSKEY, 77, of Wooster, OH, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at his home.
He was born March 11, 1937 in Killbuck, the son of Corlis and Rema Ling Croskey. He married Treva Ewing on September 26, 1967. She survives.
Wally was a 1955 graduate of Killbuck High School and graduated from Ashland University with a BA in Sociology. He retired in 1998 from the Ohio Dept. of Rehabilitation and Corrections as Personnel Director of the Mansfield Correctional Institution. He enjoyed planning trips which took him and his wife to all 50 states and many foreign countries. He was interested in photography and collecting photography books.
He proudly served his country with the US Army with the 25th Infantry Division at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Holly (Larry) Clark of Millersburg, Mitchell (Debra) Croskey of Manassas Park, VA, Jennifer (Rex) Miller of Millersburg; step-children, Cynthia (Jon) Toth of Knoxville, TN, Robin (Junko) Keister of Yokosuka, Japan and Brett (Glenda Wynne) Keister of Hardy, Virginia; 5 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Gary (Judy) Croskey of Sumter, SC.
Wallace was preceded in death by his parents.
Per his wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. Cremation has taken place.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
