WOOSTER “ William W. œBill  Kesner, 78, of Wooster passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.
He was born May 24, 1938 in Hubbard, Ohio, the son of Ancel and Geraldine Hesson Kesner.   He married Carol Fraley on November 11, 1961.   She survives.
He had been manager of Purchasing and Material Control for G.F. Business Equipment in Youngstown for 11 years, he then worked in Canada for 3-1/2 years and was then transferred to North Carolina for 7-1/2 years as VP of Value Analysis and Purchasing Manager and Material Control and then worked at Akron Brass as Manager of Purchasing until his retirement in 2001.   In his retirement, he worked part time at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Past President of Wooster Evening Lions, member of the Wooster Elks, enjoyed NASCAR, golfing and North Carolina Tar Heels Basketball.
In addition to his wife, Carol, he is survived by his children, Kerry (William) Kesner-Beach of Bolivar, Kurt (Anita) Kesner and Kevin (Casie) Kesner both of Wooster; grandchildren, Hannah Beach, Rachel Beach, Cody Kesner, Allison Kesner, Joy Lynn Beach and Isabella Kesner and 1 great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother James Kesner.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 16 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 5-7:00 p.m. with an Elks Memorial Service at 4:30 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Noon at the funeral home with the Pastor Ann Paynter officiating.   Burial will follow in the Wooster Cemetery.
