Born April 7, 1926 n Lewisville, OH, he was the son of Arthur and Bertha Christman Neuhardt.
He was a 1949 graduate of The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Animal Science. Vernon had been a herdsman and Instructor Emeritus at the O.A.R.D.C. Member of the Wooster United Methodist Church, member of the Westwood Ruritans and volunteered at the Wooster Twp. Fire Dept. for a number of years. He also volunteered for the Wooster Community Hospital Medical Alerts and was was one of the founders of the OARDC Credit Union.
Surviving are his wife, Beverly R. Bodey Neuhardt to whom he had been married 53 years; his children David (Sharen) Neuhardt of Yellow Springs, OH, Craig Neuhardt of Salisbury, NC, Jane (Chris) Fickes of Wooster and Rick Neuhardt of Wooster; grandchildren Alex and Colin Fickes and Ann and Rob Gage; sisters, Nadine Knowlton of Columbus and Delys Bodenhausen of Hilandville, MO.
He was preceded n death by a sister Marie Green and a brother Richard Neuhardt.
